This game was made for BarbInca, first prize winner in a contest at HistoryWalker, an online community dedicated to the discussion of Ancient History. Barb is an Incan Queen (Qoya) and Miss Kitty, a battle-trained jaguar, is her faithful companion.
Miss Kitty has buried some Incan medals in the grounds of her den. While she is out "surveying her domain" (peeing on stuff), she has challenged you to find the medals before she returns! The Machu Picchu Mountain Rescue Llama Team have sent over one of their expert search and rescue crew to help you.
Purpose of the Game

FAQ
- Isn't this the same as David Lewis' Dog Game?
- <Insert expletive> It would appear so… although David's graphics and implementation of the game is far superior to mine. What can I say, there are a limited number of simple game formats around ("Whack-a-Caesar" is based on a very well-known format!) and I've been playing with this sort of idea for a while. I plan to enhance this game by adding difficulty levels (done 08/01/05) and I'm toying with the idea of adding more objects (dig up a medal for 1 point, a golden chalice for 2 points etc.), making the game a bit different.
- Umm… why llama?
- Llama are a ubiquitous species in HistoryWalker's virtual Machu Picchu (the Incan sky city). They can be found everywhere and their numbers are increasing exponentially. Scientists estimate that they (the llama, not the scientists) probably constitute approximately 20% of Earth's greenhouse gasses. At least, they would if they were not just a collection of pixels.
- -Ahem- "Glow in the Dark Llama"?
- There is a reason outlined on the "About" screen of the game itself. I really can't add any more, and if I did, Miss Kitty would have to give you a butt-plant.
- What is a "butt-plant" anyway?
- Imagine an annoyed domestic moggy striking out at you with its claws extended. Now imagine up to 158kg (348lbs) of really annoyed jaguar striking out in the same way, and it's aiming for your gluteus maximus. That's a butt-plant. In the UK, we might call it a "bum-print".
- Can you tell me anything about jaguars?
I would love to tell you about jaguars! Better yet, let me point to some links that can tell you more than you ever wanted to know about these beautiful creatures:
- It would be really cool if…
- I'm sure it would, but no.
- How does the game work?
- Very well, thank you.
- Do I have to download the Flash plugin?
- Sorry, yes you do. I can't program in Java.
- Can I download the game to play offline?
- I can't stop you downloading the SWF file, but the game won't work if you do. I may make a downloadable version available in the future.
- I keep getting ActiveX warning messages when I try and launch the game.
- You're using Internet Explorer, and this is a standard message for downloading "objects" when you are surfing on a high security setting (good on you!). You can prevent this by adding this domain to your "trusted" sites (this is preferable to temporarily lowering your shields, because if you're like me, you'll forget to raise them again).
Version History
- 08/01/2005 - version 1.1, now includes difficulty levels.
